  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Place 6 oz. chocolate and the butter in large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and pecans until well blended.
  • Spread into greased 8- or 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Bake 22 to 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool in pan on wire rack. Melt remaining 2 oz. chocolate as directed on package. Drizzle over dessert; let stand until firm. Cut into 16 squares to serve.

How to Toast Nuts

Toasting nuts adds crunch and intensifies their flavor. To toast nuts in the oven, spread nuts in single layer in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 min. or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. To toast nuts on the stovetop, place nuts in ungreased skillet. Cook on medium heat until golden brown, stirring frequently. To toast nuts in the microwave, place up to 1 cup of nuts in a microwaveable shallow dish. Microwave on HIGH until fragrant and crisp, stirring every 30 sec.

    This brownie recipe is disgusting. Not chocolatey enough, not moist enough, not enough anything. Bleh.

    These brownies are gross! It's a pretty bad brownie that I won't eat but these went straight to the trash. I was out of cocoa so I googled a recipe that used semisweet chocolate instead & found this. It was too cakey & tasted like artificial sweetener which I did NOT use. So disappointed.

    I just made these as a last minute dessert. These are really delicious. The kids loved them! So easy to make and easy clean up. Delicious. We topped them with cool whip and powdered sugar.
