The classic potluck winner is as good as it ever was, with layers of bacon, cheese and veggies. This is what refreshing is all about.

What You Need

pkg. (16 oz.) salad greens
2
stalks celery, thinly sliced
1/2
cup chopped green peppers
2
 green onions, sliced
1
pkg. (12 oz.) OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces, cooked
1
pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas, thawed
3/4
cup KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
3/4
cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Make It

PLACE greens in large glass bowl; top with layers of celery, peppers, onions, bacon and peas.

SPREAD mayo over peas, completely covering top of salad and sealing to edge of bowl. Sprinkle with cheese.

REFRIGERATE 2 to 12 hours to blend flavors. Toss before serving, if desired.

Special Extra
Add a layer of sliced hard-cooked eggs; cooked cleaned fresh shrimp or frozen cooked shrimp, thawed and drained; or thinly sliced imitation crabmeat.
Special Extra
Reserve 1 bacon slice for garnish; cook until crisp. Crumble over salad just before serving.
Variation
Prepare as directed, using KRAFT Light Mayo Reduced Fat Mayonnaise, MIRACLE WHIP Light Dressing or MIRACLE WHIP Dressing; your favorite KRAFT Shredded Cheese; and/or substituting 1 cup thinly sliced radishes for the chopped green peppers.
