Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This chicken was very flavorful and extra moist. This chicken was very flavorful and extra moist. I halved the amount of chicken, since there are just two of us, but did not half any other ingredients. I did not have much sauce or crispy coating left over. I can see why another reader said there wasn't much barbeque flavor if 8 chicken breasts were used. Overall it was wonderful and my husband especially enjoyed it and gave plenty of compliments!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband and I both loved this recipe. My husband and I both loved this recipe. It was very good and I will make it again. THe only problem was that I thought that there was only enough mixture to cover 3 large chicken breasts thoroughly, but since it was just the two of us it wasn't a problem. We had mashed potatoes, peas and rolls with it and it was a great dinner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What an excellent idea. What an excellent idea. We use thighs instead of breasts, just due to preference. I get the crispy Shake N Bake also because we like the extra crunch. The BBQ sauce helps make this an excellent reheat/leftover item where just using Shake N Bake on its own does not. Make at least twice a month and everyone enjoys!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We LOVED this chicken recipe! We LOVED this chicken recipe! We wanted a good barbecue chicken without having to fire up the grill and this was perfect! Next time I'll probably cut back on the mustard but I used hickory smoke barbecue sauce and we loved it. It wasn't 100% crispy but it was still great and it's now in our favorites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I found this recipe to be "worthy". I found this recipe to be "worthy". Not for a Holiday dinner, but for a weeknight---excellent. Easy to make. Easy clean up. Economical. It was good. I would make it again. Everyone liked it. So easy and economical that it is worth a try to see how you like it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was very quick and simple. This was very quick and simple. The only problem I had was that it didn't get crunchy enough. The batter came off easy. But, the leftovers were great! The batter was thicker. My children fought over the leftovers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lOVED it! lOVED it! I've made three times now, the first time I put WAYY tOO MUCH barbeque sauce and it just didn't taste right.. the second time I made it, it was awesome! I also prefer using a sweeter tasting bbq sauce.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but we had to put extra BBQ sauce on top. Good, but we had to put extra BBQ sauce on top. Not a strong enough BBQ flavor to please my husband. And the fact that it was messy to make means that this won't be a regular meal. But we'll eat it again.
