Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best shortbread recipe. This is the best shortbread recipe. I read the other comments on it and have to say shortbread is not a sweet cookie. It is more of an adult cookie. If you want a sweet cookie make a sugar or chocolate chip cookie. If you want something to go with coffee or tea this is the cookie for you. If you dont think this recipe is good buy a shortbread cookie. I promise it will taste like nothing but flour. THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!! A MUST TRY! You can also frost it to make them sweeter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the easiest and delicious cookie recipe I have ever tried. This is the easiest and delicious cookie recipe I have ever tried. Every one who has tried them in my family has begged for more. I make them a bit healthier by switching the sugar for splenda, fat free cream cheese, the healthier stick butter, and I use whole wheat flour. Splenda even came out with powdered sugar so I am even more excited! Enjoy!

I rolled them out thinner and made them ladybug shaped, so they were topped with sugar and icing... but everyone at the bridal shower said they were delicious... and they were a piece of cake to make!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Temperature of 400 seems to high, 375 worked better, at 400 bottom of cookie was very brown long... Temperature of 400 seems to high, 375 worked better, at 400 bottom of cookie was very brown long before the tops. Tasted more like a slightly sweet biscuit. Added a little vanilla and some finely chopped nuts to the last batch, improved taste some. Will probably look for another recipe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the first Kraft recipe that I have not liked. This is the first Kraft recipe that I have not liked. I made these in spite of the mixed reviews. They are flavorless and doughy. Rather than throw away the dough, I chilled it, rolled it out, & made mini turnovers (filled with preserves & baked @ 12 minutes).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from -Beware if using a hand mixer, it might be too much for it. -Beware if using a hand mixer, it might be too much for it. Would be perfect for a kitchenaid stand mixer. -I used unsalted butter, maybe I should have used salted butter. Not bad, just a little boring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be sure you have a beverage when you're eating these, they are so dry you might choke. Be sure you have a beverage when you're eating these, they are so dry you might choke. The recipe doesn't make 7 dozen cookies and takes much longer than the 30 minutes it states. Really disappointing.
