No time to make masa boats? Substitute warmed corn tortillas for the masa harina. Cook meat mixture as directed; spoon onto tortillas. Top with cheese, remaining onions and cilantro, then continue as directed.
Meat mixture can be prepared ahead of time. Refrigerate up to 2 days to allow flavors to blend. When ready to serve, cook meat mixture in saucepan on medium-low heat until heated through before using as directed.
Add 3/4 cup water to 1-1/4 cups masa harina and 1/2 tsp. salt in medium bowl; mix with your hands until mixture forms soft dough.
