Serving Suggestion

For added color and texture, serve with a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Lite Dressing.

Note

While I agree with the other comments here, I think Kraft was trying to make a substitute that does not include using raw eggs although adding the pasta to the egg and parmesan cheese mixture does partially cook the egg - a lot of people are totally freaked out by raw eggs in a dish. So, while this is not a true Spaghetti Carbonara, it is a possible substitute that some may find for suitable for the family dinner table. That being said, how about a little restraint and not rate a recipe unless you have actually made it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made it the first time and my boyfriend loves it! I made it the first time and my boyfriend loves it! The ingredients are simple and the steps are easy to follow, which is my favorite thing about this recipe because I am a busy person and usually come home late. I would suggest adding a little bit of salt into the sauce before tossing it with the pasta, but that's just my opinion. Next time I would add come chopped red bell pepper into the recipe to make the plate more colorful. I definitely will make this recipe again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME... AWESOME... hubby gave me the "D" word... DELICIOUS...(very hard to get him to say that... says otherwise he will spoil me) I left out the peas and used green onions instead in the bacon drippings and used peppercorn bacon... Had a friend also over and wanted all the leftovers...was not even much but Hubby just said NO WAY... Can not wait to make again... got it out of your magazine this month that I LOVE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This meal comes together so quickly! This meal comes together so quickly! It is delicious as well! As other suggested, I added about 1/2 cup of milk to the finished product to make it creamer because the noodles and parm. cheese dry it up quickly. And I used turkey bacon bits for quickness and EVOO instead of bacon fat. I love the peas in it as they add a pop of color and texture! Wonderful meal!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was my first recipe with the cooking creme. This was my first recipe with the cooking creme. It has just the right consistency and seasoning. I'll definitely try other flavors in other recipes. This dish came out great, and it really was ready in about 20 minutes. I added green onions with the peas, omitted the parmesan, and sprinkled on a few red pepper flakes when serving. Yum!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Made this last night-- very quick and easy...and delicious! Made this last night-- very quick and easy...and delicious! The cooking creme is awesome and so easy, we picked up a few other flavors to experiment with later. The only thing I would change is to not drain any of the reserves because the sauce was very thick and dried up quickly. Will definitely make this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a really good tasting dish. This was a really good tasting dish. One of the best I have had in a while. The only thing I altered about this recipe was I used extra virgin olive oil instead of the bacon drippings and used bacon pieces instead of cooking the bacon slices. This was a very delicious recipe. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super yummy and easy! Super yummy and easy! The Philadelphia Cooking crème really adds a perfect flavor for this pasta. My family aren't very big pea fans (I love them!) so you may want to only do about half the peas. And next time I think I might even use more bacon because no recipe can ever have too much bacon :)
