Simple Sausage Strata

This make-ahead strata is made simple with ready-to-serve sausage links. Make it the night before and serve it up at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

What You Need

slices  whole wheat bread
8
 fully cooked pork sausage patties, finely chopped
3
  fresh asparagus spears, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2
cup  finely chopped red peppers
1
cup  KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided

 eggs
1/2
cup  BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN 2% Milkfat Low Fat Cottage Cheese

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

ARRANGE bread slices in single layer on bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray; top with sausage, vegetables and 1/2 cup cheddar.

BEAT eggs in medium bowl. Stir in cottage cheese; pour over ingredients in pan.

BAKE 25 min. Sprinkle with remaining Cheddar. Bake an additional 5 min. or until center is set. Let stand 10 min. before serving.

Assemble strata as directed; refrigerate up to 24 hours. Bake at 350°F for 30 min. Top with remaining Cheddar; continue as directed.
