Food Facts

Green vegetables contain natural chlorophyll which gives the vegetables, such as the snow peas in this delicious salad, their color. Here the peas are blanched, or cooked for a short time in boiling water, to help brighten the color of the peas.

Food Facts

Sugar snap peas are a cross between the common English pea and snow peas. Both the pod and peas inside are edible. Choose pods that are plump, crisp and bright green. Before using, snap off the stem ends, pulling to remove any strings.
