I tried this recipe because I was in a pinch to find a quick and easy "sweet and sour" recipe. I'd seen it in the magazine and thought it'd be to hard but it was so easy, the hardest part was finding the ground ginger! My family and friends loved it as well. I used it as an appetizer without the rice and the meatballs were a hit! I wanted it a little sweeter so I added a tablespoon of brown sugar and to make it a little tangier I used a table spoon of apple cider vinegar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My husband and I had A sweet & sour meatball dinner at a wedding. My husband and I had A sweet & sour meatball dinner at a wedding. It was very good. We have been looking for the recipe ever since. we have tried countless sweet & sour meatball recipes and are always dissapointed. Not this time. We were extremely pleased with this recipe. It is not the exact recipe we had at the wedding, but its the closest we have found. WE WILL be making this again!! It is now part of our supper menu.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fast yet very filling meal. A fast yet very filling meal. I add about 1/8 to 1/4 cup of pineapple juice, garlic powder, and ginger to sauce mix. About five minutes before done I add a can of chunk pineapple. Serve over rice and with a green vegetable and what a good meal you've got. I'm sure the meatballs could be substituted with chicken, sausage, or something else. Haven't tried it that way, but will in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe a few times and my entire family loves it. I have made this recipe a few times and my entire family loves it. I made my own meatballs over the weekend, froze them, then used them in this recipe last night. I am hooked on this dish and am telling everyone I know how good it tastes! The only thing I do different is increase the sauce ingredients by 1/4 cup. The original recipe did not give enough sauce to last through to left overs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I thought this was okay. I thought this was okay. I really liked the sauce and I like the idea in the suggestions to add ginger and garlic - I'll do that next time. I wasn't fond of the frozen meatballs in this dish (but I do like them in other dishes) and I think next time I'll brown some cubed chicken breasts before adding the rest of the ingredients. I did double the sauce because I like a lot of sauce.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this one night when it was getting late and no one had put anything out for dinner. I made this one night when it was getting late and no one had put anything out for dinner. My mother was over and we had not been to the store that week. It was great! It was easy! I had everything I need in the house and did not have to run to the store. After dinner my mother begged for the recipe so I sent her a link to sign up for the free recipes from Kraft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was an easy recipe to make. This was an easy recipe to make. I did make the meatballs from scratch and did use fresh peppers and onions. It turned out great and only took about 10 minutes more. I made the meatballs early and just heated them with the peppers and onions after they cooked for about five minutes. It was wonderful. Everyone loved it and I will make it again. Great job Kraft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was a pretty good meal. This was a pretty good meal. I love how quick and easy it is to put together. I served with instant brown rice. Next time I make this, I'll use the good quality apricot jam, not the store brand, and maybe add some ginger and garlic like suggested. The pineapple chunks are wonderful when added! Just kind of lacks that real "sweet and sour" taste. Not bad, overall.
