  • Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 1 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels. Add onions to reserved drippings; cook 5 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, place asparagus in microwaveable dish. Add water; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 4 to 5 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender; drain.
  • Stir dressing into onion mixture in skillet; spoon over asparagus. Crumble bacon; sprinkle over sauce.


Substitute green beans for the asparagus.


Asparagus spears can be cut into 1-1/2 inch lengths before microwaving. Drain and add to sauce in skillet, tossing to coat.

How to trim asparagus

Snap off the end of each asparagus spear where it breaks easily.
