  • Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Mix first 4 ingredients; shape into 8 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  • Grill 4 to 6 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), turning and brushing occasionally with 1/4 cup barbecue sauce for the last few minutes.
  • Spread buns with remaining barbecue sauce; fill with lettuce, tomatoes and burgers.

Make Ahead

Meat patties can be made in advance. Refrigerate up to 24 hours before grilling as directed.

Serving Suggestion

For added color and texture, serve with a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Lite Dressing.

Although I have not made this recipe exactly, I have made a variation ... cheese, onion, bread crumbs (as in meat loaf). Will remember to add bacon with the next grilled burger supper menu. Nice flavor touch! Two additional notes: adding the bar-b-que sauce directly to the ground beef provides additional flavor and moisture. To prevent hamburger patties from "bulging" in the middle, poke a depression in the middle of the patties before grilling.

I made a couple of changes, I used krafts new fresh take product the chili lime with panko bread crumbs, I mixed the BBQ sauce in with the meat mixture and used precooked bacon and put it on top. I made sliders for the kids and they loved it. Can't wait to try this again.

But, I made mine and my moms with our bar-b-q sauce and my dad's and husband's with sauce. My dad really loved them and my mom and I really liked them with out the sauce. A sure hit.. and I will be making them again soon!

We are having them again today for the family celebrating Father's Day. I hope sure hope everyone enjoys them like we did.

My review might move from good to very good if I put the bbq sauce in the burgers instead of on. It burned on the burgers quite quickly. I would also add onion to the mixture and slices of cheese on top.
