  • Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir until tender.
  • Stir in all remaining ingredients except cheese. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Cook 2 to 3 min. or until cheese is melted.

Substitute

Substitute 1 can (15 oz.) kidney or pinto beans for the garbanzo beans.

    I used the HOT kraft bbq sauce and it turned out very good. My family loves spicy stuff.

    I substituted pinto beans for the garbanzo beans and made this for a family get together and there were no leftovers.

    I thought it sounded good. I made it with pinto beans instead of garbonzo beans. I took this to my brothers house for a party. NOBODY cared for this recipe! We all didn't like it. YUCK!
