  • Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir until tender.
  • Stir in all remaining ingredients except cheese. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Cook 2 to 3 min. or until cheese is melted.


Substitute 1 can (15 oz.) kidney or pinto beans for the garbanzo beans.
