Skillet Potatoes with Bacon & Cheddar Recipe

What You Need

4

slices OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

1

onion, chopped

2

lb. Yukon gold potatoes (about 6), thinly sliced

1

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Tbsp. BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

Make It

COOK bacon in large nonstick skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon, reserving 3 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels. Add onions to skillet; cook and stir 5 min. Stir in potatoes; cover. Cook on medium-low heat 20 to 25 min. or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.

TOP with cheese and bacon; cook, covered, 1 to 2 min. or until cheese is melted.

SERVE topped with sour cream.

Awesome recipe. The sweetness of the onion, smokiness of the bacon, & creaminess of the cheese go together wonderfully with the potatoes. :)

This is the best potato skillet recipe I've ever had! I'm not a fan of potatoes but this recipe makes them irresistible!

Delicious! The only negative comment would be that there were no leftovers! Easy as pie to make, bacon and cheddar add such flavor to the potatoes - will be making again! Thanks for great recipe!

This was a very good recipe if you want something different from the ordinary potato. My only issue was to get the potates to a fully cooked status, it took almost twice as long as the recommended time.

I wanted something different for my side dish. I didn't have yukon potatoes or shredded cheddar. I used baking potatoes and mozarella cheese. I forgot to put on the sour cream but it was still delish. I will make this again but with the cheddar.

Good recipe, but my onions burned. I wouldn't cook them ahead of time if I ever made this again. Also the potatoes took a lot longer than 25 minutes to cook. It tastes good, though, minus the burnt stuff.

My teenage daughter found this recipe and made it because she wanted to make something with bacon. It was easy and yummy!

Very quick and versatile recipe. We didn't mix the bacon and cheese in at the end of the recipe but set everything out at the table. This allowed everyone to put whatever toppings they wanted on it. Also used salsa and salt/pepper. Yummy!
