  • Place chicken in slow cooker. Add broth, onions, celery and carrots; cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 3-1/2 hours).
  • Add peas and cream cheese spread; stir until cream cheese is melted and sauce is well blended. Mix stuffing mix, hot water and eggs until blended; drop in 2 heaping-tablespoon portions over chicken mixture. Cook, covered, on HIGH 30 min. Gently turn dumplings; cook, covered, 15 min.

Special Extra

Stir in 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley just before serving.

    This isn't chicken and dumplings no way.

    It wasn't very flavorful and the dumplings were mushy. I think bisquick dumplings would have been better.

    This did not turn out well for me. I followed the instructions but ended up with a soggy, soupy dinner that had little flavor. The chive cream cheese did nothing for the taste. I will not make this again.
