  • Toss meat with Dry Rub; place in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except flour and water; stir gently. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 8 to 9 hours (or on HIGH 4 to 5 hours).
  • Mix flour and water until blended. Add to slow cooker; mix well. Cook, covered, on HIGH 15 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened.

Note

Cool any leftovers, then place in airtight container. Freeze up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in refrigerator before reheating to serve.

Special Extra

For easy cleanup, line slow cooker with plastic liner bag before filling with ingredients and cooking as directed.

I did it a little different, I did not have the dry rub. so I used beef ready for stew. added black pepper, salt, garlic, paprika. onion1/2 and some celery. then I used beef broth, white potatos, carrots. and the 1/2 cup of itialn dressing. it was yummy, I really like it and yes comfort food, kids loved carrots and hunny did not think my vegggies were soft enough, but cooking longer fixes that. I also cut it in half. really good. deff recomend

The meat was perfectly tender and the vegetables turned out great but it took way longer than 15 min. of prep. Also, the meal came out very flavorful, lots of seasoning. Next time I will definitely cut back.
