Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family loved this recipe! My family loved this recipe! I did tweak it a little to suit our taste buds though and after reading some of the reviews about it being bland. In place of the green pepper I used 4 cloves of fresh garlice. I used boneless, skinless chicken tenders instead of the thighs and sprinkled with sea salt, pepper, and thyme. I upped the velveeta to 8oz. and added a little milk to make it a little creamier. And instead of pouring the sauce over top, I placed the chicken & potatoes back into the crockpot and mixed it all together. Definately a keeper!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband and I really liked this recipe. My husband and I really liked this recipe. The only thing I changed was that I didn't have Velveeta cheese and I used chicken breast. We had the Kraft cheddar cheese and some American cheese so we put that in instead and it was really good. We were having peas too and found that they tasted really good mixed in with this dish.

Made this with cheddar cheese condensed soup instead of cream of chicken and then eliminated the cheese sauce at the end. Also used red pepper instead of green and found this tasty. Seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Nice change from the usual crockpot meal!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I already had the ingredients in the crockpot before I read the reviews. I already had the ingredients in the crockpot before I read the reviews. I already seasoned the meat with s&p but not the veg so they were a bit bland. When it was cooked I had a lot of liquid in the pot so I added a can of cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese (I didnt have any velveeta) and the Worcester sauce it came out quite tasty. I cooked it on low for 8 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this recipe. I love this recipe. I tried it the first time by the directions now I change it up by adding different veggies, spices occasionally and different cuts of chicken. I love that it only takes 15 minutes to prep, then I am off to work. I don't use velveeta anymore due to it's high cost and subsitute Cheeze Whiz instead... it adds zing. :) The hubby loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this recipe! I loved this recipe! The only thing I did different was use chicken tenderloins instead of chicken thighs, and I added black pepper. I loved coming home to this ready to eat without hardly any effort! Tasted great and had lots of flavor! Everyone loved it! This is a keeper!

I would make this again although after hearing about how bland some found it I made a few changes: rather than the green pepper I sliced shallots and minced garlic and added that into the pot with a tiny bit of thyme (a few sprigs) I also seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper and smoked paprika before adding it into the slow cooker. There were no issues with flavor and my kids 7 & 11 ate it no problem!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish I had read the reviews before I made this. I wish I had read the reviews before I made this. The chicken was very tender and falling off the bone. However, the bland taste and terrible appearance made it unappetizing. The leftover sauce was oily and runny. I used it with the cheese sauce but it might have been better if I had just smothered everything in Velveeta. It was edible, but I won't make it again.
