Chicken thighs stand in for more traditional (and expensive) veal shanks in this easy slow-cooker version of osso buco.

What You Need

8
 boneless skinless chicken thighs (1 lb.)
1/4
cup  flour
1
 carrot, finely chopped
1
can  (14-1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained
2
Tbsp.  KRAFT Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing
1
tsp.  zest and 1 Tbsp. juice from 1 lemon
3
cups  hot cooked brown rice

Make It

TOSS chicken with flour in slow cooker.

ADD all remaining ingredients except rice; stir. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours).

STIR chicken mixture until sauce is thickened. Serve over rice.

Use Your Stove
Combine ingredients as directed in Dutch oven or large deep skillet instead of the slow cooker. Bring to boil on medium-high heat; cover. Simmer on low heat 4 to 5 hours or until chicken is done (165ºF), stirring occasionally. Serve over rice.
Substitute
Serve over hot cooked noodles or white rice instead of the brown rice.
