I think this was a decent base recipe, but I made several changes for my family's taste preferences. I omitted the corn - we just didn't really want that sweetness in it. I'm also not a big fan of beans, so I used just one can of kidney beans instead of two. Since I did that, I increased the ground beef from 1-1/2 lbs to 2 lbs. Also, the amount of tomato sauce just did not seem to give it enough broth/sauce. So in addition to the 16 oz of tomato sauce, I added another 8 oz can, as well as half of a ready-to-eat tomato soup that I had in the cupboard. That made it about perfect. I also wanted a little more complexity to the taste than just chili powder, so I sprinkled in some salt and pepper, as well as just a bit of garlic powder.

Any time you need to get a meal on the table but don't have time to cook, give this a try. I made the recipe as written but did not add the corn. Otherwise, I followed it exactly. I made this in the slow cooker because I had other chores to do and did not want to stay in the kitchen. It turned out great. I really enjoyed it. It would be easy to spice it up by adding chopped green onion, or more chilli powder. Just season to your taste. Thank you, Kraft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this recipe. Love this recipe. I did change a few things after reading the other reviews. I used one can kidney and one can black beans. I also used medium salsa and think I will use hot next time. The chili did not have an overall chili flavor and I would add more chili powder. I liked the touch of corn. Overall easy and great tasting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this recipe! I love this recipe! It is easy and fast prep time. The first time I made it I had to use crushed tomatoes instead of sauce because they were out of the low sodium sauce, but it was delicious! This time I am using sauce but HOT salsa. It is easy to make the way it is or throw in a few changes. This is my new chili recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This chili was not only easy to make but absolutely delicious! This chili was not only easy to make but absolutely delicious! Fellow cooks recommended using medium salsa instead of mild, kidney and black beans, and adding canned diced tomatoes. I did and my diced tomatoes were with green chilis. I also served it with dollops of sour cream. YUM!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I did not have a chili recipe before I made this but now I do! I did not have a chili recipe before I made this but now I do! My 6 year old LOVES this and regularly requests it. I did add little extra corn to it and I also add a can of no salt added basil & oregano diced tomatoes (lightly drained). Also we eat it with fritos or crackers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This chili is fantastic. This chili is fantastic. I doubled the recipe and it fed 8 people with leftovers. I used medium salsa, twice the amount of chili powder and a squirt of hot sauce for a kick. My company gave many compliments. Plus I get to eat leftovers all week (yum!). I will make again!
