Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this receipe! I love this receipe! I've made it at least 6 times already! I did do some alterations on it though...only because I don't like corn in my chili or cheese on it... So this is what I did... 2 Lbs. ground beef, 2 cans each of light & dark kidney beans with the liquid, 1 can of seasoned tomato sauce, 1 whole jar of mild salsa, 2 Tsp. chili powder, green onion chopped up... I let it cook all day and it was so yummy! everyones tastes are different so this worked for my all boy family! They are all picky and chili was never their thing until I made this... My oldest still thinks more meat is needed... but it's a simple receipe and very good when it's a cold day out!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I think this was a decent base recipe, but I made several changes for my family's taste... I think this was a decent base recipe, but I made several changes for my family's taste preferences. I omitted the corn - we just didn't really want that sweetness in it. I'm also not a big fan of beans, so I used just one can of kidney beans instead of two. Since I did that, I increased the ground beef from 1-1/2 lbs to 2 lbs. Also, the amount of tomato sauce just did not seem to give it enough broth/sauce. So in addition to the 16 oz of tomato sauce, I added another 8 oz can, as well as half of a ready-to-eat tomato soup that I had in the cupboard. That made it about perfect. I also wanted a little more complexity to the taste than just chili powder, so I sprinkled in some salt and pepper, as well as just a bit of garlic powder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I fixed this last night for supper. I fixed this last night for supper. Really enjoyed! 14 yr old son loved it! I did make a few changes. Cooked on top of stove and was done within 30 mins. I added 2 cans pinto beans,2 1/2 lbs browned meat w/ onion, used chili seasoning to taste, garlic powder to taste, 1 can rotel. Didn't drain cans of beans, put juice in chili. Omitted corn and salsa. I only fed 4 people with this and there are no leftovers. Next time I will probably triple recipe. My son ate his chili over Fritos. SO easy and so filling! This is a keeper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Any time you need to get a meal on the table but don't have time to cook, give this a try. Any time you need to get a meal on the table but don't have time to cook, give this a try. I made the recipe as written but did not add the corn. Otherwise, I followed it exactly. I made this in the slow cooker because I had other chores to do and did not want to stay in the kitchen. It turned out great. I really enjoyed it. It would be easy to spice it up by adding chopped green onion, or more chilli powder. Just season to your taste. Thank you, Kraft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband actually made this for me since I had to leave early for work. My husband actually made this for me since I had to leave early for work. He thought it was very, very easy to make. My family LOVED this one - except for my 8 year old daughter, who is on the picky side. She thought it was spicy - but she still liked it and liked the taste overall. I didn't think it was spicy at all and thought the flavor was awesome. My mom asked for the recipe even. I will try the chicken version next time - it sounds good as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this tonight and it "hit the spot". I made this tonight and it "hit the spot". I didn't have any tomato sauce on hand, so used a 28oz. can of petite diced tomatoes. I also added a dash of blk. pepper, garlic powder and seasoning salt. I had a late start on it, so cooked it on high for the 3-4 hrs. I was concerned that the raw onions would still be crunchy, but they weren't. I also liked the addition of the corn. (Didn't think I would, but enjoyed the little crunch it gave.) Will make again.

I did do a couple different things to it 1 used 2 lbs of hamburger, i doubled the tomato sauce, added 2 cans drained of mixed veggies and 1 can drained of green beans (got to get the veggies in my kids where i can) and a little extra chillie powder to taste. This was fast to put in the crock pot and let it go and tasted very yummy to all of us a family of 5.. I will make it again soon..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've made this slow cooker chili many times, mostly to take to card parties. I've made this slow cooker chili many times, mostly to take to card parties. I do not put corn or onions in. I've cooked it mainly on low but sometimes on high, but either way, I find the consistency does become soupy, so to remedy this, when the cooking time is up, turn the temp to high, take the top off the slow cooker, and let it sit at least 15 minutes, stirring a few times. I serve with grated cheese and croutons.
