  • Place vegetables on bottom of slow cooker; top with meat. Mix mustard, pepper and ½ cup water; pour over beef. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 8 to 9 hours (or on HIGH 5 to 6 hours) or until beef and vegetables are tender.
  • Remove beef and vegetables to serving platter; cover to keep warm. Transfer liquid from slow cooker into small saucepan. Bring to boil. Stir in combined cornstarch and remaining 2 Tbsp. water. Cook and stir until sauce is thickened. Spoon sauce over beef and vegetables.

Special Extra

Stir 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil into sauce just before serving.
