Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing. Disappointing. This is not a recipe to throw in the crockpot in the morning and come home from work to a hot meal. At 3-4 hour cooking time, it's more of a weekend meal when you're home. The lasagna iteself was just okay, but my oven made lasagna tastes better. I don't care for the no boil method as some of the noodles were fine, while others were still a bit too al dente for my taste. It took me just as long to put together as my normal lasagna, just took an extra 2 hours to cook vs the oven. I won't be making this recipe again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe turned out even better than if it were made in the oven. This recipe turned out even better than if it were made in the oven. I used the noodles that you do not need to cook and placed them over each layer of ingredents and used two packages of six cheese instead of all the various cheese and it was fantastic. Used one large jar of sauce and mixed that with the ground beef, and after all was layered in the slow cooker added more water for the noodles to absorb, but not too much. Amount of water would depend on size of slow cooker being used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turned out perfect and my husband said he could eat it every night! Turned out perfect and my husband said he could eat it every night! I tweaked it by adding my own touches like 2 cloves of freshly chopped garlic, 1/2 onion chopped, 1 cup of canned diced tomato with liquid instead of water, Italian seasonings to taste, chopped zucchini and shredded carrots thrown in for a little veggin action. It was delicious and tasted even better the next day when the flavors had a chance to further blend. I slow cooked it on low for 6 hours and the consistency was perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I figured 316 people couldn't be wrong so I tried this one. I figured 316 people couldn't be wrong so I tried this one. Easy to make, pretty much just layer it and let it go. I added in some green peppers and will add mushrooms next time just for some added veggies! Mine went slightly quicker as I have frozen browned ground beef on hand at all times. Makes dinner prep go much faster. Everyone loved it and only a scoop of leftover for hubby's lunch tomorrow. Will try the sausage next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the third time I have made this and my family and I love it! This is the third time I have made this and my family and I love it! And it is very easy to prepare. I have also tweeked this recipe with adding diced tomatoes w/green chili's and added onions and gr. peppers to the meat. I also used the juice from the canned diced tomatoes as part of the 1 cup water needed. Gives the recipe a little more kick. I have also added some sugar to the sauce to cut down on the tomato acid. Works awesome!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too much ricotta cheese. Too much ricotta cheese. Bland and not healthy. Needs more noodles and beef and less cooking. Amendments have been made below to try next time. Noodles were too mushy at 4 hours. Try 3 hours 1 1/2 lb 675 g lean ground beef 7/8 cup 219 ml ricotta cheese 9 lasagna noodles, uncooked divide sauce and cheese 3 ways and make 3 layers of noodles instead of two.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it. I made this today and followed the recipe, I took the same amount of time that it would to make it in the oven, so there goes the easiness of the slow cooker. Then it did not cook well and I think the how it cooked it took the flavor out of the sauce and cheeses. It also turned into more like lasagna slop.
