Only because for some odd reason I expected them to have more of a "fried" wing texture. Like another reviewer they are more like broiled wings. However, the sauce is really good. I added more honey than the recipe specifies. For my cooker 5 hours was a little to long and that's cooking them on low. The meat just falls off the bone. I was a little worried the sauce wasn't going to thicken but it eventually did. I will cook again but this can definitely be done in the oven a lot faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fall off the bone delicious! I made this recipe for the 4th of July and it was a BIG hit! I made a few changes, I used the original sauce with about a cup of Coke. This was my mother-in-law's recipe and the result wss sweet and juicy. Everyone, especially my picky son, LOVED these wings. And the best part is how amazingly easy it was! Great recipe!

After reading everyones review, I decided to throw them back in the oven AFTER cooked according to the recipe. I put salt and pepper before cooking and more honey as well. Gave them 20 minutes on broiled...perfect flavor and texture. I used the sauce as gravy for on top of white rice. Love that I bake them put them in the fridge with ingredients, throw it in slow cooker in the morning and ready when I come from work. They are hot enough that all they need is crispy texture outside...20 minutes in broil and done!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My family did not like the texture. My family did not like the texture. The meat had a good flavor but the skins were loose and were like chicken after it has been boiled. I should have known. This could be good for a whole chicken with the skin discarded after cooking but it doesn't work for wings, at least not for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My kids LOVED the Party Wings!! My eight year old actually asked for more, which is not a common occurrence. I was a little surprised that I had to bake the chicken first. Normally, I only like crock pot recipes that allow me to throw in the ingredients and go, but given my family's reaction to these wings, I'd say the second step was worth the effort. The only complaint was that the meat fell off the bones a little too easily, which made it kind of difficult to serve. Oh, and I used Kraft honey barbecue sauce instead of spicy since I wasn't sure how spicy the sweet and spicy would be.
