I have made this recipe several times, my entire family loves it. I usually use 3 cans of beans so it goes further. Other than that, this recipe is spot on.

What You Need

lb. Italian sausage
1
 onion, chopped
1
can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1
 each green and yellow pepper, chopped
1
can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1
can (15 oz.) cannellini beans, drained
1/2
tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2
tsp. dried oregano leaves
1-1/2
cups KRAFT Shredded Italian* Five Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA

Make It

CRUMBLE sausage into large skillet. Add onions; cook until sausage is browned, stirring frequently. Drain. Transfer to slow cooker.

ADD tomatoes, peppers and tomato paste; mix well. Stir in beans; cover with lid. Cook on LOW 3-1/2 to 4 hours (or on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 hours).

STIR in herbs; cover. Cook on HIGH 10 min.; stir. Serve topped with cheese.

Use Your Stove
Brown sausage with onions in large saucepan; drain. Add tomatoes, peppers and tomato paste; mix well. Stir in beans and herbs. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on low heat 35 min., stirring occasionally. Serve topped with cheese.

Prepare using turkey Italian sausage.
