  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Crush 40 wafers; mix with butter and sugar. Press onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Bake 8 min. or until lightly browned. Cool.
  • Beat chocolate pudding mix and 1-1/4 cups milk with whisk 2 min.; spread over crust. Cover with remaining wafers. Whisk vanilla pudding mixes and remaining milk 2 min. Stir in COOL WHIP. Spread over wafer layer in pan. Refrigerate 3 hours.
  • Heat broiler. Top dessert with marshmallows; broil 1 min. or until marshmallows are lightly browned. Top with grated chocolate.

Size Wise

Savor the flavor of the classic campfire dessert in these dessert squares that make enough to be shared with a crowd.

Substitute

Substitute 2 pkg. (3.3 oz. each) JELL-O White Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding for the vanilla flavor pudding.

Special Extra

For easy cleanup, line baking pan with foil using this easy method.  Turn pan upside down and fit a piece of foil over top of pan, smoothing corners as needed.  Remove foil.  When you turn the pan over, the foil fits perfectly inside the pan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVED IT! LOVED IT! It was delicious. I had a small Problem, don't know what I did wrong but the White Chocolate topping, which I substituted with Vanilla came out very thin even after 5 hours of refridgerating, so I ended up freezing it, and it was just as good! Came out as a Ice cream like Smores pie. <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Wendy ~ Check to be sure the Jell-O Pudding & Pie Filling Mix you select for this recipe is INSTANT Pudding Mix and not Cook & Serve Pudding Mix. Cook & Serve must be heated to thicken. >>>

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I thought this recipe was good, everyone I shared it with agreed - but it was pretty sweet. I thought this recipe was good, everyone I shared it with agreed - but it was pretty sweet. I loved the marshmallows just toasted on top! This recipe was not nearly as good the next day since the wafers and marshmallows get soggy and old. I would make this again, but only for a crowd big enough to finish it the first day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply easy and delicious. Simply easy and delicious. I made this for Easter and everyone absolutely loved it, including me. Made it the day before and stored it in the fridge. It traveled over 75 miles flawlessly. We topped it with the marshmallows and shaved chocolate at the last minute and broiled it. Huge hit! Will make it again.

I think next time I will try it with a graham cracker crust and a little less butter as the nilla wafers do get soggey fast. I do have to say that mine looked just like the picture though and the guests' seemed to like it!

After reading other people's reviews, I used graham crackers instead of Nilla wafers and it was just as good the following day b/c the graham crackers didn't get soggy at all! I used low fat cool whip and low fat vanilla pudding and it tasted great!! I will be making this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is fabulous. This recipe is fabulous. I made a low-cal version, and it was great. I read a comment where I thought it wouldn't hold up in the fridge, but it does. It's light, creamy and since I made it low cal, I can eat tons of squares and not feel guilty.
