Sour Cream Garlic Mashed Potatoes

What does it take to make the best mashed potatoes in the world? A little salt and pepper. Some milk and sour cream. And a couple of cloves of garlic.

What You Need

lb.  red potatoes (unpeeled), quartered
1/2
cup  milk
1/2
cup  BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
2
cloves  garlic, minced
1/4
tsp.  ground black pepper

Make It

COOK potatoes in boiling water in large saucepan 20 min. or until tender; drain. Mash potatoes.

ADD remaining ingredients; mash until light and fluffy.

Substitute
Substitute 3/4 tsp. garlic powder for the garlic cloves.
Variation - Bacon and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes
Prepare as directed, using russet potatoes. Stir in 6 slices cooked and crumbled OSCAR MAYER Bacon and 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese just before serving.
Substitute
Substitute KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise or MIRACLE WHIP Dressing for the sour cream.
