Use half & half instead of milk (save some of the boiling water if too dry.) Instead of sour cream use a tub of whipped/softened herb flavored cream cheese. Add the potatoes to the pan, stir in the cream cheese and heat until smooth. The broth and whole garlic make the difference!

My husband loves his mashed potatoes and when i decided to use this recipe he loved it, and he thought it was nice and creamy and the sour cream gave it a great taste. i am guessing i would be using the recipe from now on until my husband gets tired of it.
