Healthy Living

Trim 20 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving by using fat-free milk, COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping and reduced-fat vanilla wafers.

How to Ripen Bananas

Bananas ripen best at room temperature. To quickly ripen bananas, place the fruit in a brown paper bag and close the bag tightly. The fruit gives off a gas as it ripens. Containing the gas in the closed bag will hasten the ripening process.

How to Thaw COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Place unopened 8-oz. tub of COOL WHIP in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Do not thaw in the microwave.

The only thing I would do differently is use vanilla pudding instead of the banana pudding. I have made several banana puddings. For an added flavor use sweetened condensed milk. Make the pudding with regular milk then pour in a small can of sweetened condensed milk and add the whipped topping in the mixture. Pour this mixture over the layers of bananas and nilla wafer. Let it chill over night so the pudding can mix can make the wafers soft. That is the best southern banana pudding you have ever tasted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy to make. Very easy to make. I drizzled the bottom layer of nilla wafers with a little milk to help them soften. Also helps to chill it for a couple of hours. This is best when the cookies are soft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a great treat. This was a great treat. My husband doesn't like bananas that much but he does like them in pudding. He use to go on about his mothers banana pudding. I knew I couldn't make it like hers. So I wanted something simple and to the point. I came across this recipe and made it. Now he tells everyone, even his mother, I make the best ever and wants me to make it all the time. Thanks Kraftfoods!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fast & easy. Very fast & easy. I doubled this recipe for a family party of six and nothing was left over!! And now they are requesting it again for our Mother's Day party!! Just make sure you coat the bananas in lemon juice before putting in the bowl to prevent them from turning brown.
