  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Cook first 3 ingredients in dressing in 10-inch ovenproof skillet on medium heat 5 min., stirring frequently. Add potatoes; cook 5 min., stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Spread potato mixture onto bottom of skillet; top with ham.
  • Whisk eggs and milk until blended; pour over ham. Top with VELVEETA.
  • Bake 30 min. or until center is set. Sprinkle with cilantro.

Note

If you don't have an ovenproof skillet, wrap the handle of a regular skillet with several layers of foil before using as directed. Remember that all parts of the skillet will be hot when removing it from the oven.

Prepare el pimiento verde (aji), cebolla, ajo y papas en el aderezo Kraft, pero use "Light Done Right" para reducir la grasa y las calorias. Como mi sarten no puede soportar las temperaturas de un horno, verti el todo en un recipiente de Corning Ware. Le agrege los huevos batidos con la leche (baja en grasa, 1%), y el queso Velveeta pero el tipo "light." No tenia cilantro fresco asi que antes de hornear le agrege cilantro seco. Tuve que hornear durante 45 minutos en vez de 20, pero quedo completamente delicioso. Muchas gracias!

When I altered it I gave my recipe a 5 star rating. I used cooked hash brown potatoes so it wouldn't be so lumpy and starchy, fried bacon and a few hot peppers. I also cooked it in an iron skillet which worked great for baking.

If you want to know the Spanish comments were that this is not an omelet from Spain and I concur. Never is done in an oven and it only has egg, potatoes and onions...if north of Spain add chorizo. Frittata goes in the oven and that is an Italian version.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SPANISH TORTILLA THIS IS A SPANISH TORTILLA, AND DOES NOT GO IN THE OVEN, YOU FLIP IT OVER IN A BIG PLATE OR LID AND BACK IN THE SKILLET ON THE STOVE, POTATOES, GARLIC, LOTS OF OLIVE OIL AND SALT, CHORIZO, ONION, THESE ARE THE MAIN INGREDIENTS, THEN ADD WHATEVER YOU WANT. I LIVED IN MADRID FOR 10 YEARS. SERVE WITH HARD LOAF BREAD.

We like the flavor of chorizo, eggs and potatoes. Several of the sites that need rateings have the Spanish version but also the English translation. I would have appreciated that as I am sure many others would have.

The recipe has nothing to do with Spanish omelet, which only has eggs, potatoes, onion, salt and is made in a frying pan with olive oil. Nevertheless, this recipe is OK but a bit dull.
