What You Need

Tbsp. chili powder

Tbsp. minced garlic

tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)

Tbsp. lime juice, divided

Tbsp. chopped canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, divided

whole chicken wings (3 lb.)

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

green onion, sliced

tsp. lime zest

Make It

MIX chili powder, garlic, ground red pepper and 5 Tbsp. each lime juice and chipotle peppers until well blended. Pour over chicken in large shallow dish; turn to coat both sides of each wing. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate, turning chicken after 15 min. Meanwhile, mix remaining chipotle peppers with barbecue sauce.

HEAT oven to 400ºF. Remove wings from marinade; place in single layer on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Discard marinade.

BAKE 35 to 40 min. or until wings are done, turning after 20 min. Brush with half the barbecue sauce mixture; bake 5 min., turning and brushing with remaining barbecue sauce mixture after 3 min.

MIX sour cream, onions, zest and remaining lime juice. Serve with wings.

These were really good and not that spicy at all, my husband and kids loved them.

I made this for my daughters birthday a week before Halloween and they were enjoyed by all. They had the right amount of spicey bbq flavor. Am making them today, but will cut the wings in half and serve with ranch dressing. The sour cream sauce did not have good flavor.

Very tasty, spicy not too hot, fun for Halloween. Would make again and probably split into drummettes and wing portion and discard tips for non-Halloween use.

Made this for two different Halloween parties and the teens loved it, as did my husband. I will be making this again for my family. Just the right amount of heat to please everyone. Didn't think the sour cream sauce was the best. In the future, I'll probably serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

I have made it 3 times. I marinaded them as directed overnite instead. Once used regular bbq sauce so they weren't as hot, twice used hot BBQ sauce and them were hot. But I did cook them the whole time with the BBQ sauce on them. They were a hit each time.

Totally awesome and spicy and cooked-up great in the oven. I tucked the tips under the armpit, per se, so as to form a triangle before I baked them. That allowed the tips to not burn and the wings to cook evenly.
