medium pasta shell
s, uncooked

baby spinach leaves

OSCAR MAYER Bacon
, chopped

flour

milk

KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
, divided
1/4
cup
KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
Make It
HEAT
oven to 350°F.
step 1
COOK
pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt and adding spinach to the boiling water for the last minute.
step 2
MEANWHILE,
cook and stir bacon in large saucepan until crisp. Use slotted spoon to remove bacon from pan, reserving drippings in pan. Add flour to drippings; cook and stir 1 min. or until bubbly. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until thickened.

ADD
1 cup Cheddar and Parmesan to saucepan; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until melted. Add pasta mixture and bacon; mix well.
step 4
SPOON
into 1-1/2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with remaining Cheddar. Bake 20 min. or until heated through.

Variation
Prepare using fat-free milk and KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese.
Special Extra
Stir 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes into the pasta before spooning it into the prepared casserole.

It was delicious and easy to make. I used turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. I also used fat free milk instead of whole milk. I used extra cheese because I really like cheese. I have tons of leftovers because I only cook for myself.

Very good. Would definitely add salt, pepper and cayenne next time. Would under cook the pasta by 1 or 2 minutes.

Even my 1 1/2 and 3 year old grandkids love it. I do prefer the thicker sliced bacon over the thin sliced. It's easy to make and it's gone in a flash. If your lucky enough to have left overs, it's even better the 2nd and 3rd time around. I make it once a week.

I like it a lot, but needs seasoning; salt, little pepper, touch of cayenne maybe

Yummy! The bacon really makes the dish and I think made my son and husband forget there was spinach in it! I added some breadcrumbs before baking and used Velvetta cheese that I had on hand.

I MADE THIS YESTERDAY AND IT WAS A BIG HIT WITH MY FAMILY. THE ONLY THING I DID DIFFERENT WAS THAT I USE WHEAT NOODLES INSTEAD OF WHITE. MY HUSBAND TOLD ME WE WOULD SURELY HAVE THIS AS PART OF OUR THANKSGIVING MEAL THIS YEAR!

For this one to get 5 stars, decrease the amount of uncooked pasta to 2.5 cups and mix all the cheese into the sauce. Also, as the recipe is written, it is too much volume for a 1.5 qt container.

Spinach in macaroni and cheese does not sound good,but it was very good. This is a keeper.
