Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an excellent recipe! This is an excellent recipe! I usually make the artichoke version but I love water chestnuts so this recipe was a great alternative. I didn't have to modify this recipe too much. I used low-fat cream cheese and added 1/4 c. of Light Mayo to make it just a bit creamier. And it turned out PERFECT! You can't even tell it was made with low-fat items. My hubby loved it and he normally hates anything that's low-fat. I will definitely be making this dip quite often!

I also used the whole 16 oz container of sour cream instead of one cup as the recipe stated. I did add a vegetable mix to the recipe & also green onions too. Adding those two, gave the dip a great flavor. It was the talk of an office party that I made it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is excellant.. This is excellant.. I enjoyed it inside a small hard round loaf of bread hollowed out and served with wheat crackers. I even kicked it up a little bit with some hot sauce ( not too much) I have even served this at several of my holiday parties and my quest really loved it.

I also added about 1/4 cup mayo, 1/2 cup finely grated baby carrots, 1/2 cup freshly steamed, (and cooled) asparagus heads, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese as well as 1/4 cup of green onions. YUMMY!

I substitute the bowl for a round loaf of Hawaiian Bread. Tear out the middle and dip into the dip. The sweetness of the bread really sets it off!
