Spring Pasta Primavera

Chopped plum tomatoes and shredded fresh basil leaves star in this easy Spring Pasta Primavera. Sprinkle with Italian cheese and enjoy!

What You Need

1/2
lb.  penne pasta, uncooked
1/2
cup  KRAFT Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing, divided
1
large  onion, thinly sliced
5
 plum tomatoes, coarsely chopped
2
cups  loosely packed fresh basil leaves, shredded
1
cup  KRAFT Finely Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend

Make It

COOK pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.

MEANWHILE, heat 1/4 cup dressing in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 5 min. or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove from skillet. Add remaining dressing and tomatoes to skillet; cook and stir 3 min. or until heated through.

DRAIN pasta, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water. Toss pasta with vegetables and basil in large bowl. Gradually stir in reserved cooking water, if needed until pasta mixture is of desired consistency. Top with cheese.

Add 2 cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips, to pasta with the vegetables.
