  • Reserve 2 of the strawberries for garnish; mash remaining strawberries. Set aside. Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add ice cubes; stir until melted. Add whipped topping and mashed strawberries; stir gently with wire whisk until well blended. Refrigerate 10 min. or until mixture is very thick and will mound.
  • Meanwhile, cut 3/4-inch piece from both ends of each ladyfinger; place trimmed ends on bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Stand remaining ladyfingers around side of pan, with cut-sides facing in.
  • Spoon thickened gelatin mixture into prepared pan. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Remove side of pan. Top dessert with the reserved strawberries. Cut into 12 wedges to serve. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

How to Prepare in 9-inch Cake Pan

Line 9-inch round cake pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over edge of pan. Prepare dessert as directed. To remove dessert from pan, carefully lift out of pan onto serving plate using foil handles. Peel away and discard foil.

How to Mash Strawberries

Crush strawberries with a potato masher. Or, process, using pulsing action, in a food processor until finely chopped.

Substitute

Prepare as directed, using JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin and regular COOL WHIP Whipped Topping.
