  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix oats, flour, sugar and baking powder in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press 3 cups oat mixture firmly onto bottom of 9-inch square baking pan. Spread jam over crust. Mix nuts with remaining crumb mixture; sprinkle over jam.
  • Bake 30 min. or until topping is lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack.

Special Equipment Needed

Substitute purchased strawberry jam for the freezer jam.

Special Extra

For easy cleanup, line baking pan with foil using this easy method.  Turn pan upside down and fit a piece of foil over top of pan, smoothing corners as needed.  Remove foil.  When you turn the pan over, the foil fits perfectly inside the pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good and buttery. Very good and buttery. Quick and easy to make with what you have on hand. I lined the pan with parchment paper the second time I made them and it made it much easier to get them out of the pan without crumbling apart on the bottom.
