I do demo's in stores, I made this salad with the chicken strips and the kraft bottled poppyseed dressing. No, almonds. It was a very big hit, and everyone that tried it loved it and wanted the recipe. It is also very good using the catalina dressing. It is so simple to make. Many planned on making this for special dinners and pot luck type dinners. Everyone was gald to find something different to take to family and friend gatherings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank you for such a refreshing summer salad idea. Thank you for such a refreshing summer salad idea. I made this last night for my fiancee' and he loved it. He rarely goes away from any salad that he can't drench with Ranch dressing, but he could not stop eating this salad. With this we had bbq chicken leg quarters, corn on the cob, and cole slaw. This was a perfect meal all together!

I made this salad (without the onions) yesterday for a 4th of July potluck and everyone raved about it and asked me for the recipe. I did not make the dressing and instead used a store bought Kraft Poppyseed dressing. It was still the bomb! I will definitely make this again and maybe add some diced chicken for a light summer time meal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed it up a little bit and it was spectacular! Changed it up a little bit and it was spectacular! I omitted the almonds (not a fan of almonds) and added crumbled cheddar cheese. Also, used Raspberry Walnut Vinagrette dressing instead of the poppyseed dressing (because I'm far too lazy to make my own dressing!) Overall, great great recipe, my whole family LOVED it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this recipe for Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. I made this recipe for Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. So much so that I've made again and again. I did make one alteration to the poppy seed dressing recipe. Being that 3 members of my family can't eat sugar, I substituted Splenda for the sugar and no one could tell the difference. Very delicious!

We ate every bit of it. Great blend of flavors. Since it was just the 3 of us, I cut the recipe in half and found that it needed a little more dressing. I will definately make this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My mother-in-law makes this salad ALL THE TIME. My mother-in-law makes this salad ALL THE TIME. The only difference is she uses baby spinach leaves and omits the oranges. Everybody loves it! At first you think it's an odd mix (strawberries and onions) but the poppyseed dressing really pulls it all together.
