What You Need

3/4

cup boiling water

pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin

3/4

cup cold water

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1-1/2

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

cup chopped strawberries

NILLA Pie Crust (6 oz.)

Make It

STIR boiling water into dry gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add cold water; stir. Beat cream cheese in large bowl with wire whisk until creamy. Gradually add gelatin, beating until well blended. Place bowl of gelatin into larger bowl of ice and water. Let stand 5 minutes or until thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites), stirring occasionally.

ADD whipped topping; beat with wire whisk until well blended. Stir in strawberries. Refrigerate 20 to 30 minutes or until mixture is very thick and will mound.

SPOON into crust. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Garnish with additional whipped topping and strawberry halves just before serving, if desired.

How to Thaw COOL WHIP

Place unopened 8-oz. tub of whipped topping in refrigerator for 4 hours. Do not thaw in the microwave.

Needs just a little more strawberry flavor. I would use less cool whip and more strawberries.

The ice bath doesn't work in 5 minutes! Try chilling it in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Excellent Pie! It was very easy to make and soooo Delicous! My mom said it would be good in the summer time when strawberries are fresh and sweet. Note: I sliced the strawberries,,,they do need to be cubed it would work better when cutting the pie. Also, I eyed the strawberries instead of using 1 cup. If you think it needs more strawberries add more. Excellent!!! :)

Very good tasting but needs more fresh strawberries either on the top with the whip cream or in the pie itself. Add more.

I think that the directions should state that the prep time is actually about 15/20 minutes longer than what is quoted. It should also state that the cream cheese should be softened. Otherwise, the recipe was very good. My family loved it!
