I substituted angel food cake for pound cake and added blue berries to increase the fruit intake - plus I used everything sugar free - sugar free whip cream, sugar free jello, fat free milk - it's a summer time favorite now!! My aunt took it one step further and make cupcakes out of the recipe! Very yummy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very easy way to make strawberry shortcake a little different. A very easy way to make strawberry shortcake a little different. The mixture of pudding and Cool Whip was very sweet and creamy, and at this time of year, you can't go wrong with fresh strawberries! Instead of vanilla pudding, next time I might try lemon for a different, not-so-sweet taste.

I actually agree with the time on this one which is rare. The only problem I had is it says it serves 12 and for the portions I think most people are used to several people had two or three servings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a light summer dessert and very good. This is a light summer dessert and very good. I usually layer the dessert by cutting half the cake into cubes then adding the strawberries, pudding and cool whip and repeating ending with the cool whip on top. It looks great in a glass dish.
