Substitute

Substitute ground turkey for the ground beef.

Fun Idea

With the wide variety of salsas now available, try topping these burgers with a roasted corn salsa, green salsa or even a fruit salsa.

Storing Ground Beef

Store ground beef in the coldest part of the refrigerator for up to 2 days. (The refrigerator temperature should be no higher than 40°F.) For longer storage, wrap the meat tightly in foil or freezer-weight plastic wrap and store in the freezer. When thawing, place the meat on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator to prevent any drippings from cross-contaminating other foods.

We use salsa and guacamole for toppings and definitely butter and broil the rolls so they are crunchy. My son-in-law said this is what he would choose for his last meal!! They are the oozy, cheesey best burgers ever!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I liked this a lot. I liked this a lot. My wife isn't much for spicy foods; so I made hers without the taco seasoning and she didn't like it that much, which means I might be slow to do it again. On the other hand, I thought the burgers mad according to the recipe were delicious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used ground turkey and low fat cream cheese to make the recipe healthier. I used ground turkey and low fat cream cheese to make the recipe healthier. I also made this in a frying pan and it worked out great. One burger can really fill you up but be careful on how much stuffing you put in. Too much can make it quite rich.
