I made this recipe last night exactly as written and I don't see what all the fuss is about. I only gave it one star just because it eas edible. I have made stuffed shells for years and decided to try this recipe just to do something different and what a mistake that was. My recipe calls for fewer indgredients and tastes much better than this did. The Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix combined with the spaghetti sauce does not give this a good flavor at all. I would leave out the dressing mix. The red peppers also did not fit well with this recipe. Leave those two out and throw in some ricotta cheese and you will have a winner.
I love cheese manicotti so when Kraft sent this recipe to my mailbox I decided to make it. This is so good! I made the recipe exactly as it was posted with the exception of using an Italian Blend of cheeses instead of just mozzerella. After reading some reviews about the red pepper I was tempted to omit it. I am so glad I didn't. I chopped it up really fine and it made the dish! I freezer cook alot and as I doubled this recipe, I will freeze half. Thank you so much for the tasty and healthy recipe!!!
