Fresh green beans and bell pepper are microwaved then topped with an easy cheese sauce and French-fried onions for a delicious summer side dish.

What You Need

lb.  fresh green beans, trimmed
1/2
cup  water
1
cup  red or green pepper strips
3/4
cup  CHEEZ WHIZ Cheese Dip
1/2
cup  French fried onions

Make It

PLACE beans and water in 1-1/2-quart microwavable casserole dish; cover with lid. Microwave on HIGH 8 minutes.

ADD pepper strips; mix lightly. Microwave an additional 3 minutes; drain. Place on serving plate.

MICROWAVE CHEEZ WHIZ as directed on label. Pour over vegetables. Sprinkle with onions.

Substitute
Prepare as directed, substituting 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen cut green beans for the fresh green beans and reducing the water to 3 Tbsp.
Substitute
Omit water. Substitute 2 cans (14-1/2 oz. each) green beans for the fresh green beans. Place pepper strips in 1-1/2-quart microwavable casserole dish; cover with lid. Microwave on HIGH 2 minutes. Stir in the drained green beans. Microwave 3 minutes; drain. Top with the heated CHEEZ WHIZ and sprinkle with the onions as directed.
