To get exact level cup measures of sugar, spoon sugar into dry metal or plastic measuring cups, then level by scraping excess sugar from top of cup with a straight-edged knife.

I deviated just a bit and used "no sugar needed" Sure Jell and reduced the sugar to 4 cups. We rate recipes based on whether they're recipe card worthy, and this one is definitely a keeper. It jelled with no problem and is absolutely delicious.
I made this on Monday and it is Wednesday afternoon and 1 half pint jar is empty with another soon to follow. My family and co-workers loved this. I love it because it is seedless!
