  • Combine pecans, 2 Tbsp. of the syrup and the butter in small microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 min. or until thickened, stirring every 30 sec. Spread onto large piece of waxed paper or foil; cool completely. Meanwhile, pour milk into medium bowl. Add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until mixture is well blended and starts to thicken. Add 1/3 cup syrup; mix well. Gently stir in 1 cup of the whipped topping.
  • Spoon 1 Tbsp. of the wafer crumbs into each of six dessert dishes; top each with layers of 3 Tbsp. of the pudding mixture, 1 Tbsp. of the remaining whipped topping and 2 Tbsp. of the remaining wafer crumbs. Repeat layers of pudding and whipped topping. Sprinkle evenly with pecans.
  • Drizzle remaining 2 Tbsp. syrup evenly over parfaits just before serving. Store leftover parfaits in refrigerator.

I made these for a dinner party and they were terrific! I will make these again for sure. Also I used pure maple syrup in the recipe. It was worth it.

very confusing to put together, quantities weren't quite right. We added more ingredients to make it come out right. everyone liked it, but to time consuming to go with. Wasn't exactly like it started out but it went over well.
