Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this but my boyfirend is not a fan of sour cream. I loved this but my boyfirend is not a fan of sour cream. I changed the recipe and it came out delicious! I cut up a little bit of mushrooms, onions, scallions, plum tomatoes, garlic and a habenaro pepper. I sautéed the veggies in olive oil. Then I added 93% ground beef and a spicy taco mix and simmered that for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile I prepared Velveeta mac and cheese. I took a lasagna dish and layered it with ground beef, then chedder cheese, then mac & cheese, then salsa, then Mexican cheese, then repeated. I topped it off with more salsa, cheese and Panko bread crumbs, and red pepper flakes. I baked it for 20 minutes. So good and easy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe with regular kraft mac-n-cheese because it was what I had on hand. I made this recipe with regular kraft mac-n-cheese because it was what I had on hand. (I think the regular mac-n-cheese taste better than the kraft deluxe)Anyhow, I followed the recipe, making the layers of the mac-n-cheese, taco meat, cheese, salsa and more of the mac-n-cheese. It turned out yummoooooo!! I didn't put the salsa on top I just put it in between layers! fabulous!! Try it! Easy to make & doesn't take long. Make sure you under cook the noodles cause they are going to cook more in the oven.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I believe this is one of those you either like it or hate it recipes. I believe this is one of those you either like it or hate it recipes. I made this a couple weeks ago as directed however I left the salsa out because of my picky son. We all liked it! My husband and I added crushed tortilla chips, salsa, and extra sour cream on top. We both took leftovers to work the next day and it heated up great! I am going to remake this tonight but increase the amount of meat to 1.5-2 lbs. I'm also going to add onion to the meat when cooking and throw in some black beans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is easy to make lighter! This recipe is easy to make lighter! I don't understand why they say to watch the portion size, just do it my way if you're concerned about calories! I used extra lean ground beef, light mac and cheese, light sour cream, and cut way back on the cheese. I don't suggest using fat free or light cheese because I think it is disgusting and does not melt well. I also topped the dish with baked tortilla chips. It tasted delicious and my family had no idea it was made healthier and they never will!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this Friday night for students coming in from college for the weekend. I made this Friday night for students coming in from college for the weekend. They were thrilled and thought it was great. One of the guys said it was like MAC&CHEESE all juiced up. Everyone loved it and I made another one before they left so they could take it back to college to enjoy. Sodium can be reduced by using low sodium sauce, low fat cheese.Ground turkey is also great to use in recipe. I make my own salsa as we grow our herbs and vegetables.

I've made this several times for friends who just had a baby or just needed a little extra help with dinners. It's easy and delicious. It is easy to reheat and still tastes just as wonderful reheated and it can easily be frozen. It also usually goes over just as well with the kids as the adults. When I give it as a meal to a friend, I usually include a bagged caesar salad kit for the side as well as a bag of tortilla chips.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tried recipe as box directed, and added the chips to the top (underneath the salsa and cheese). Tried recipe as box directed, and added the chips to the top (underneath the salsa and cheese). My family liked it, but suggested next time maybe including a layer of scrambled eggs, and having a layer of chips at the bottom of each plate/bowl for each individual, for more 'crunch'. I thought the mac added a lot of unnecessary carbs... and may just make a taco salad instead next time. No baking involved with that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thought this was really great! Thought this was really great! My 3 kids (7,4,28 mths) and hubby loved it. My kids are really picky and have already requseted it in less than a week. I did add a can of drained corn to the beef and left out the salsa and served it on the side. Will be putting this into our rotation. For those that think it is fattening use lowfat mac & cheese, lean beef, FF sour cream and lowfat cheese. TY Kraft
