  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Cook meat with Taco Seasoning Mix as directed on package. Spread onto pizza crust; top with cheese. Place directly on oven rack.
  • Bake 8 to 10 min. or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Top with lettuce and tomatoes. Crush Taco Shells; sprinkle over pizza. Drizzle with Salsa.

Variation

I used a non-refrigerated pizza crust thats in the same section at the grocery store as the spagetti sauce, I also used extra cheese. Also, if you aren't planning on eating it all at one meal (leftovers), then leave everything that you don't cook on the side and let each person add what they want...that way the lettuce, etc doesnt get all soggy in the fridge. You also don't need ALL 10-12 taco shells..I just crumbled up a couple of them. I added sour cream and my hubby added jalapenos to his. VERY good alternative to tacos/nachos.

This is one of my all time favorite comfort foods because it is so quick and easy to make,not to mention it is so delicious too! I really like to make this when it is so cold outside because it is so comforting and you can omit any ingredients that you don't like,and add the ones that you do like instead!! We like to put cheese,lettuce,tomatoes,on our taco pizza,and after it is done cooking,we put a dollop of sour cream on our slice of taco pizza before we eat it and it is so good!! Try this recipe you won't be disappointed!! ;-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from After reading everyones reviews, I ended up tweeking this somewhat. After reading everyones reviews, I ended up tweeking this somewhat. I made the dough and baked it before I added the toppings. I used about 1/2 can of beans, heated them and added taco sauce and a tiny bit of cheese to it, and used this as the first layer. I did not buy a taco kit, I just added a pack of seasoning and taco sauce to the meat, and then spread that over the beans. From there I added the cheese and baked it until the cheese was melted. When I served it I topped it with the lettuce and tomatoes but no shells. I also had sour cream on the side. Overall it was really good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a GREAT recipe! This was a GREAT recipe! I would change two things. First, make sure to drain your taco meat before putting it on the crust. Drain as much liquid off of it as you can so your crust isn't greasy and soggy. Second, use Dorrito chips (nacho cheese) instead of plain taco chips for a great flavor. Other than that, I think it was great!

I did try things a little different by adding re-fried beans to the pizza crust before adding the meat. I also omitted the crushed tortillas and added sour cream and taco sauce to the toppings before serving! * We put the topping on separately so that it wouldn't spoil as leftovers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was very good! This was very good! I added refried beans & salsa to the crust before the meat and baked it that way. Next time, I'm going to bake the pizza crust for half the time first to make it a bit crisper. It was a little too soft. Topped it off with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, sour cream & black olives! YUM! We'll definitely make it again!

I read the instructions on the pizza dough can and it said to put on a cookie sheet - I should have put the dough on a pizza pan. But the flavors were DELICIOUS! My husband loved this and so did my mom. I put salsa on the pizza dough first and then the meat. And sour cream, if you like sour cream, is a must. Tops it off perfectly! Enjoy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I took some advise from the rating gallery. I took some advise from the rating gallery. I added cheese to the crust befor adding the drained well hamburger. I also added a refried bean mixture over my hamburger. I added a few tablespoons of salsa over all that. Baked in oven to heat. Added shredded lettuce, black olives, grated cheese, tomato, and sour cream. I'd make it again.
