Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Excellent!! My husband and I both loved this. I only used 2 cans of chili beans- thought 3 would be too many. I also used diced tomatoes instead of whole tomatoes. I added a little bit of red pepper flakes just to give it a little kick, and also used ground turkey instead of beef. Once it was finished, I stirred in some shredded cheddar cheese to thicken it up just a bit. We topped it with crushed up tortilla chips, a little sour cream and bit more shredded cheddar. I will definitely be making this again soon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a Hit Well I just finished up this recipe and my family loves it. It is not too heavy but definitely filling. I did make some adjustments. I too substituted a can of beef broth in the place of water. I used a red onion along with celery & bell pepper (the holy trinity). I used rotel tomato instead of whole ones. I never buy can veggies but I had frozen corn so I tossed that in there and I used one can of black beans with two cans of kidney beans (it's what I had on hand). Lastly, I used spicy taco seasoning. and Kraft sharp shredded cheese. It took me maybe 15 minutes to prepare and it simmered for about 30, and voila' . Will def do this one again and again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Havn't eaten an entire bowl yet, just a few bites out of the crock pot. Havn't eaten an entire bowl yet, just a few bites out of the crock pot. Boy, it is delicious. I used one can of beef broth instead of water and a 26 oz. can of mild chili beans. I didn't want so many beans. Instead of whole tomatoes I used one can of fire roasted diced. The flavors are coming together really nicely. Been in the crock pot 4 hours now. I will top my bowl with lots of cheese and sour cream. Made a can of Grands corn biscuits and an orange jello poke cake. A simple and delicious meal this will be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a must make especially with the colder weather here.......it is like chili. This is a must make especially with the colder weather here.......it is like chili. I just made this today and I enjoyed it and my house still smells awesome 10hours later. I used ground turkey, one can black beans(drained)and medium chili beans and an off brand chili spice and it was fantastic. It was too cold to go shop for a few ingredients so I substituted and it looked good with the different colors. Topped it off with a hand full of cheddar cheese, tablespoon each of guacamole & sour cream. Yum,Yum.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What I ended up with was delicious. What I ended up with was delicious. Only things I didn't substitute was the sour ***** & water. On hand items included less hamburger, one thick slice of onion(added onion salt), 1 can of black beans, tomato sauce for meatloaf, diced tomatoes, frozen corn, and off-brand Taco seasoning. Sometimes, all you need is a suggestion for creativity. Sure hope I can do it again.

I once lost 40 pounds over 3 months by eating this soup for dinner 3 nights a week and lunch 3 days a week. The other 3 days I ate sensible low fat / high protein meals and one day a week, I ate whatever I wanted but being careful not to go over 2,000 calories on cheat day. Glad I saw this, I'm going to do it again.
