  • Mix tamarind and water in large saucepan. Add cinnamon stick; bring to boil on medium-high heat. Add apples, guavas and cranberries; stir. Cook 5 min. or until fruit is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; remove and discard cinnamon stick.
  • Squeeze juice from 1 orange half. Add to tamarind mixture with drink mix; stir until mix is dissolved.
  • Cut remaining orange half into 10 slices. Use to garnish punch.

Special Equipment Needed


For the adults, stir 1 Tbsp. rum into each serving of punch just before serving.

Fresh or frozen guavas are available almost year round at any Mexican grocery store. If preparing this refreshing punch with fresh guavas, use fully ripe guavas for best results.
