  • Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt and adding broccoli to the boiling water for the last minute; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain again.
  • Place pasta mixture in large bowl. Add onions, peppers and bacon; mix lightly.
  • Mix mayo and sugar until blended. Add to salad; toss to coat.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour.

    Made this last nite for dinner. We loved it! Didn't really have a long time for flavors to meld - but delish. I did add a little white wine vinegar and granulated garlic to dressing. I left out peppers ( personal ) but added some thin sliced carrots and dried cranberries and cheddar cheese.

    Have made a variation of this without pasta for years. To get the "tangy", you need to add a tablespoon of vinegar. Also, add shredded mozzarella, raisins/craisins, sunflower seeds, whatever you want. Very yummy!
