cups bite-size shredded wheat cereal

cups popped popcorn

cup small pretzels

cup PLANTERS Mixed Nuts

env. GOOD SEASONS Italian Dressing Mix

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4

tsp. garlic powder

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 300°F. Toss cereal with popcorn, pretzels and nuts in 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with salad dressing mix.

MIX butter, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Drizzle evenly over cereal mixture; toss to coat.

BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until lightly toasted, stirring after 15 min. Cool. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

Substitute

Substitute PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts for the mixed nuts.

Take Along

Portion this snack mix in resealable plastic bags, then take along with you when you're in need of a little something for when you’re out running errands or going on a walk.

Special Extra

Spice things up by adding 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce and 1/4 tsp. chili powder to the butter mixture before drizzling over cereal mixture. Continue as directed.

All alone in this mix, the popcorn always loses its crunch..caramel sugar coat the popcorn.. it will hold its crisp, and add to the mix.

Next time I will separate the ingredients into two bags so that it is easier to coat with the sauce.

I thought this would be a big hit at my son's 16th birthday party, but it was hardly touched, so I tried it again at my husband's 40th birthday and it wasn't touched there either. I don't think I will make this one again.
