Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best barbecue bean recipe ever! This is the best barbecue bean recipe ever! It is so easy that my husband is the one who makes it. The entire family and all of our friends have come to know these as John's Beans. We've doubled and even tripled it for numerous occasions. When doubling it we have added more varieties of beans such as black beans, navy beans, & great northern beans. If we want it spicier we had hotter bque sauce! We've even adapted it to the crock pot for ease of serving as well. Thanks a million for this recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good recipe! Very good recipe! Instead of the bacon I used about 1 pound of ground hamburger and threw in about a half cup or so of Brown sugar. Also used regular mustard instead of the dry mustard. It turned out pretty tasty! Makeing again for 4th of July potluck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was excellent. This was excellent. I made a double batch for a family reunion and after frying the bacon cooked it in a crock pot. I also added 2 lbs of hamburger and some onion to make it more of a "hot dish". Everyone loved it and needless to say the pot was empty!!
