  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Spread half the bread cubes onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish. Top with half each of the onions, bacon, cheddar and mozzarella; cover with cottage cheese. Repeat layers of bread, onions, bacon, cheddar and mozzarella; set aside.
  • Beat remaining ingredients with whisk until well blended; pour over ingredients in baking dish. Press bread cubes lightly into egg mixture until completely covered. Let stand 10 min.
  • Bake 50 min. to 1 hour or until center is set and top is golden brown.

Assemble as directed. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. When ready to serve, bake as directed.

    I have made this too many times to count! It's always a hit. I use sausage instead of bacon, and it's delicious! I make the entire thing the night before, set it out as I'm preheating the oven. Cooks great and is fantastic each time! I also add a few more eggs with milk so that I have enough to saturate the bread.

    The family really enjoyed this and I am making again for Christmas breakfast after Santa has arrived!! I used 1# of browned, crumbled sausage in place of bacon and 1 more egg. It is great because it is prepared day before.
